Early Morning Rain On Kauai

This morning we woke up to an early morning rain. And if you know me at all you know I love rainy days so this was heaven for me! I took a few shots off the master bedroom balcony. It made for a pleasant morning with some hot tea and that yummy banana bread I told you about.

We tried to be really quiet so as not to wake that sleeping teenage giant who's first question would inevitably be "Whats for breakfast" followed by "What are we doing today???". We had a good hour of peace and it was lovely!

This is one of our new friends here on the island. We have about 20 of them that flock to our condo including INSIDE the condo waiting for us to feed them. This one was the first one to figure out we had banana bread and as you can see he was all over it in no time.

We have also learned that the island mosquitos take no prisoners! All three of us are covered in mosquito bites from head to toe. These mosquitos don't mind even nibbling on your eye lids which I have to tell you kind of sucks!

Now we are off to plan our adventure for today. No clue what we are doing in this drizzley weather.
