Down To The Wire!

I have no idea what I am doing sitting here on the computer. It just hit me that we leave for Kauai in less than 22 hours and I still have so much to get done around here. Of course Charley just added to my to do list this morning so now I feel really behind the eight ball. I keep reminding myself that the world wont stop turning on its axis if I don't scrub the house top to bottom and leave every little instruction for my niece but that's just how I am. I've always been anxious control freak and A-type but I know once I'm on the plane and on my way I will start to loosen up.

The puppies are picking up on my anxiety. Especially Emma she is kind of angsty and they both have seperation anxiety... or maybe it's me with the seperation anxiety haha. So I am trying to be a little bit better about it to keep them calm. The cat has taken to hiding in the guest room closet so I think she knows the jig is up and there is going to be a stranger in the house. And my niece thinks I am crazy but it's amusing to her I guess.

So I'm off now to get some last minute items from a couple of stores, hit the library to pick up a couple of audio books and then back home to clean, tidy, organize and pack. I do wish I could be a bit more like Charley and Brendan and go with the flow and be more relaxed about it all. But heck if I had a wife and mom doing everything to get us ready for the trip I might be like that. Hmmm maybe I need to get a wife. lol
